The U11B Briarcliff Boltz will play the Port Washington Kangaroos in the NY State Cup Semi Final game Saturday May 20 at 12:30pm at Todd Field.
Please come out and support the team!!
The Boltz, coached by trainer Lucas, head coach Barry Kratz and assistant coach Anthony Lucarelli, won their Quarterfinal game in epic fashion on April 29 versus the Commack Braves. After the Braves tied the score at 3-all late in the second half, the game went into 2 five minute overtimes. The Braves struck first in the first overtime, but with less than a minute to go in the second overtime, the Boltz managed to tie the score again on a corner kick. And so the game was to be decided on PKs. After alternating 5 PKs, a winner was still undetermined. And so it moved to sudden death. After scoring on the 12th PK, the Boltz goalkeeper Ryan Carpenito made an amazing save to win the game, and the crowd went wild. See link to video below!
